The Cooling Jacket And Temperature Sensor For Fermentation Tanks

  1. Cooling jacket
    The cooling jacket of a cylindrical conical fermenter usually has 2 or 3 cooling zones. There are 2 or 3 cooling zones in the tank area and one cooling zone in the cone area.

The location of the cooling jacket. The top of the cooling jacket on the shell is usually located 15 cm below the liquid level, and the top of the cooling jacket under the shell should be located 15 cm below 50% liquid level. The cooling sleeve on the cone should be as close to the bottom of the cone as possible.

  1. Temperature sensor
    Depending on the needs of the brewing process, different cooling jackets are opened to cool the beer, and suitable temperature sensors are selected to obtain the true temperature of the beer. Usually two temperature sensors can be set up: the lower temperature sensor is located at the bottom of the column and the higher temperature sensor is located under the top cooling jacket.
