When the pressure in the fermenter reaches the working pressure, the safety valve will release the valve. Normally, the working pressure is fixed at 2 bar or 3 bar. sometimes, many customers want to adjust the working pressure. Therefore, this will involve three valves. Let’s compare these three safety valves together.
Picture 1 is a normal relief valve.
It is our standard configuration for fermenters and brewers. It cannot adjust the pressure. And it has a fixed maximum pressure value (usually 2 bar or 3 bar). Its maximum pressure is that it relieves not only positive pressure, but also negative pressure. Therefore, it is very necessary for water tanks.
Figure 2 shows the spigot valve. It has an adjustable pressure.
The advantages are
Figure 3 is another type of adjustable pressure relief valve. Its pressure is also adjustable.
Pros: It can relieve both positive and negative pressures.
Disadvantages are
I hope my words can make you know more about the valves that can regulate the pressure of fermenter.
