Cleaning In Place(CIP)

We all know that most microbreweries today use CIP systems to clean and sanitize their beer brewing equipment. It does not require disassembly of pipes, brushes, etc. This helps save some labor and time. All the pipes and tanks are connected together to form a sealed loop. This is also a better way to sanitize the tanks because there is no need for a person to get inside the tanks.

First, the beer brewing system is cleaned with hot water to remove most of the dirt. Then clean it with detergent and again with hot water; if you prefer to use sanitizer, don’t forget to clean your system with sanitized water.

Some breweries prefer to use a mixture of detergent and sanitizer, then cleaning and sanitizing can be done at the same time. But the last step is also cleaning with sanitized water.
