CIP System In Microbrewery

Hygiene is very important for breweries. In the previous experience, it was cleaned with brushes and then the dirt was flushed away. However, this method was labor intensive, time consuming, and difficult to meet sanitation requirements.
With the development, breweries use CIP (Cleaning in place) cleaning, which does not require disassembling pipes and equipment. CIP is connected to the brewery’s equipment and pipes to form a sealed system, and then circulates for cleaning in the brewery.

The CIP system should have the following specifications.

  1. The capacity of the CIP tank should be sufficient to allow the CIP pump to run for at least 10 minutes.
  2. The CIP return pump should be 20%-30% larger than the flow rate of the CIP pump.
  3. The CIP tank should have a cleaning device and a drainage device itself.
  4. The CIP tank should have an overflow port and a breather port, and the breather port should be connected to the outside.
  5. Please pay attention to the vacuum level of the CIP return pump to avoid damaging the tank.

Is your CIP system qualified for your brewery?
